DPNZ Tournament Rules

  1. All DPNZ events will be played under the rules of the Darts Regulation Authority, which can be viewed at www.thedra.co.uk

  2. DPNZ will be scored using DartConnect.

  3. Players must not be subject to any suspension by the DRA or one of its Affiliated Organisations.

  4. DPNZ Pro Tour events are open to all players from New Zealand, or eligible via the Nationality rules below:

    Nationality is determined as follows:

    A. The player was born in that nation; 

    OR 

    B. The player holds a valid passport for that nation; OR 

    C. The player has continuous residency (defined as their primary or permanent home in the nation) for five consecutive years immediately preceding the date of the relevant event.

  5. Players must register for each DPNZ event no later than 30 minutes prior to the advertised start time, when the draw will be made.

  6. The playing format for DPNZ events will be 501 straight start, with a PDC toss and middle.  Section Play best of 7 legs, knockout round best of 7 legs, quarters best of 9 legs, Semi's best of 11 legs and the Final best of 13 legs.  All legs must finish on a double.

  7. Marking for DPNZ events once knockout rounds commence, the losing player must stay at the board they have lost on and mark that match.  Any player refusing to mark or not in place when a game is ready to commence could face disciplinary action or have entries for future DPNZ events refused.

  8. Players are only permitted to drink water when playing a match.

  9. Players are responsible for their own travel, accommodation and expenses when attending events.

  10. Prize Money in DPNZ Pro Tour Events will be paid as follows:

    Winner $1,000

    Runner Up $700

    Semi Finalist $450

      Quarter Finalist $200

      Last 16 $100

      Last 32 $ 50

      Consolation - Winner $50, Runner Up $40

      Prize Money won in DPNZ Pro Tour Events will count towards the DPNZ          Rankings, excluding Consolation Winnings.

  1. All Players and Guests are asked to turn mobile phones off or onto silent mode when attending DPNZ Pro Tour Events.

  2. The Dress Code for all DPNZ events is as per DRA Rules, and includes the following; jeans-style trousers or skirts, or non-formal footwear are not permitted.  If a player has a query, please contact DPNZ in advance.
